Did you know that most teachers support the idea that kids need to be reading about 20 minutes per day outside of school in order to maintain their reading level (including their fluency and comprehension)? That number increases to 30+ minutes per day if you are looking to improve fluency and comprehension.

Convincing your child to read between 20 minutes a day, on top of all the other things you are juggling as a parent, can easily seem like a daunting task. As an educator, parent, and former reluctant reader — I have some good news! The easiest way to encourage your reader to pick up a book is to find books that speak to their interests. Even better is to find a book series that speaks to your reader! Here are a few grade-level-based suggestions your reader might enjoy!
